Having said all this, let’s dive into all that’s in store for you at this year’s event.

It all starts Tuesday, May 12, with registration opening at 10 a.m. and our welcome reception kickoff at 4:30 p.m. This will be your chance to mingle with fellow attendees and background screening industry leadership in anticipation of the days to come.

Alongside a full morning and afternoon breakout session schedule Wednesday and Thursday, we also have several keynotes lined up to hear from.

Seyfarth Shaw LLP Labor and Employment Partner Pam Devata is back for 2026’s event with another insightful session of her own! As the leader of Seyfarth’s nationwide Background Screening, Litigation, and Compliance Team, she’s a trusted authority and firm go-to for all issues related to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), background screening compliance, use of criminal and credit history, and Electronic Signature issues as well as online and manual employment applications.

Pam has participated in numerous interviews, speeches, webinars, and employer trainings on criminal history and credit checks. She’s leveraged her niche expertise into a thriving class action practice representing employers, resellers, and consumer reporting agencies of background information on compliance requirements under FCRA and related state laws.  Additionally, she develops procedures for appropriately handling high-volume national hiring needs and regularly litigates these issues on a single-plaintiff and class-wide basis.

Pam has also testified before the EEOC at a Public Meeting regarding the use of credit checks in employment in Washington, D.C. She is a certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and was formerly an adjunct professor of Legal Writing at Chicago-Kent College of Law.

In addition to Pam’s keynote, you’ll also have the opportunity to hear from TazWorks and MeridianLink® leadership. CEO and President, Larry Katz, will dive into the company’s vision for the future, as well as how we’re harnessing AI and data to meet that future with smarter, faster, innovative experiences. Meanwhile, CSO Troy Coggiola will speak to the company’s growth strategy, including build, buy, and partner initiatives to further strengthen our technology ecosystem and overall customer value.

Finally, Cerebrum Synapse will speak on Thursday to share the details of their new integration with TazWorks technology helping CRAs modernize criminal record review and decisioning with AI-assisted tools.

Vendor Showcase Exhibit & PUG Meeting

Don’t forget to check out the Vendor Showcase highlighting TazWorks compatible third-party vendors to further streamline your operations. This annual showcase will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday

On Thursday, we’ll also hold a TazWorks Power User Group (PUG) Meeting from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
