As our clients’ business continues to grow and expand, the InstaScreen™ background screening platform must also grow in order to accommodate your changing needs and deliver the best technological solutions in the background screening industry. Last year, we were averaging a deploy of new features approximately every seven weeks, and our team was forced to apply a good deal of focus to squashing bugs and resolving errors in the background check software. In 2013, we are dedicated to deploying new features on a much more frequent and consistent basis and to avoiding issues before they happen. Our goal is to deploy new background screening features every three to four weeks. To accomplish this goal, we have grown the TazWorks family significantly in recent months to include a few vital new members: IT and Security Manager George Dew, Quality Control Director Stephen Dutton, and new member of the Technical Support Staff Tyler Beagley.
Before joining the TazWorks team as IT and Security Manager, George Dew worked in an incredible variety of environments and industries, including international tours as a Navy SEAL, corporate finance on Wall Street, case director in the CIA, and kidnap and ransom negotiations for an international security consulting firm. George finally settled in Utah after starting his own company specializing in IT security audits and remedies, and we consider ourselves incredibly lucky to have gained his incredible world experience and work ethic as an asset on our team. Our hardware systems had an unusually high frequency of issues over the holidays, and George has already proved his tremendous value by resolving each and every issue behind the scenes without any impact to your background screening business whatsoever.

TazWorks’ new Quality Control Director Stephen Dutton has more than 20 years of experience in the business of software risk assessment, beginning in 1986 as a software tester at the WordPerfect Corporation. Since that time, he has worked consistently as a technical team lead, marketing manager, and quality assurance engineer, planning, developing, and implementing test plans to identify defects and design flaws in software programs and websites. We are proud to have Stephen’s considerable experience and comprehensive understanding of software test methodologies on our side; his expertise in testing new security features and software upgrades will help keep our programming team focused on moving forward with development. Tyler Beagley completes our new additions to our TazWorks family by joining our Technical Support staff. Tyler has worked consistently in a variety of service and support positions. Most recently, Tyler worked as a debt collector for a law firm, which required strict adherence to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Tyler is also currently studying at the University of Utah and playing basketball in the city league. Tyler’s experience in the service industry, resolving client complaints, and understanding of the importance of compliance will be a great addition to our team and a wonderful resource for you.
